Wynne Health Group Seeks Director-Level Health Policy Consultant

We are seeking applicants with strong commitment, experience, and expertise in federal health policy to join our Washington, D.C., team as a Director. Unique expertise in the life sciences sector and keen dedication to health equity are required. Sample Responsibilities

  • Research and written analyses of federal health policy developments, including bills and regulations relating to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance markets;
  • Consistent engagement with firm clients via video and teleconference, email, and in-person meetings;
  • Delivery of insightful, actionable consultation to clients;
  • Independent leadership of in-depth research and analysis projects;
  • Eventual leadership of firm client teams;
  • Analysis of congressional hearings, Administration forums, etc.;
  • Preparation of advocacy materials and issue briefs for lobbying campaigns;
  • Interfacing with federal and state government officials and third party stakeholders;
  • Monitoring of federal and state policy websites, listservs, and other sources for new materials for analysis and distribution to clients;
  • Professional development through networking, conference attendance, etc.;
  • Contribute to oversight and mentorship of Associates and interns;
  • Begin to build consistent business development practices; and
  • Contribute to internal firm strategic planning, DEI initiatives, marketing efforts, etc.

Ideal Candidate

  • Highly motivated, ambitious, self-starter able to work independently;
  • Ability to maintain collegiality and positivity in a high-performing environment;
  • Long-standing dedication to a career in health policy;
  • In-depth expertise in health policy issues, including a focus on health equity;
  • Subject matter expertise in issues impacting life science companies, including Medicare coverage and reimbursement, drug pricing, FDA approval, Inflation Reduction Act implementation, etc.;
  • Superior research and writing skills;
  • Strong organizational skills including task tracking, project management, and adherence to deadlines;
  • Creative, innovative, solution-oriented approach to resolving challenges; and
  • At least four years of health care policy analysis and consulting experience.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary starting at $100,000-$110,000 based on experience and qualifications;
  • Performance-based bonus equal to at least 15-20% of base salary, paid out semi-annually;
  • Participation in firm 401k plan with automatic 3% employer contribution;
  • Full premium for bronze level family health insurance coverage;
  • Access to group dental and vision plan;
  • Eligibility for new client acquisition bonuses;
  • 15 days all-purpose PTO + three weeks off around the November & December holidays + all Federal holidays;
  • 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave; and
  • Flexibility to work remotely over 80% of the time.
